The University of California provides Event Liability coverage for events sponsored by qualified UC-affiliated foundations, alumni associations, and support groups. FAS Event Liability insurance provides coverage for certain liabilities arising from foundation, alumni association, and support group events and related activities.
Coverage is as follows:
Coverage: Commercial General Liability
Insured: The Regents of the University of California
Covers: General Liability, Damage To Premises Rented To You, Medical Expense, Personal & Advertising Injury, and Products & Completed Operations
The UC Foundation Alumni & Support Group/Emeriti & Retiree policies renew on July 1st each year. During the renewal process and website update, you may not be able to access the online registration. If you need to obtain a Certificate of Insurance during this time, a manual application (pdf) can be emailed to our team at: email@example.com

In order to qualify for coverage under this policy, support groups must be duly registered and recognized by the respective campus Chancellor pursuant to
Regents Policy on Support Groups, Campus Foundations, and Alumni Associations.
FAS Event Liability insurance provides coverage for certain liabilities arising from foundation, alumni association, and support group events and related activities. Among the types of coverage provided are:
General Liability – covers claims against FAS Groups for liability to third parties arising out of a FAS sponsored event
Business auto liability – covers liability arising out of the use of an automobile during the course of FAS business
Liquor liability – covers liquor serving and or selling liquor at your events
Damage To Premises Rented To You – covers claims for property damage to a rented premises

How to report a claim:
Step 1 – Gather the Facts
When reporting a notice of loss, please provide as much detail as possible. This should include, but not be limited to, Insured Name, Contact Name, Policy Number, Date of Loss, Location of Loss, Cause of Loss, Your Policy or Reference Number, Initial Steps Taken to Mitigate the Loss, Type (s) of Damage and Estimated Amount of Loss.
